The website and mailing list are currently funded completely by me, along with contributions from generous members. The cost of the list is not staggering, but it is certainly noticeable when paid fully by any single individual. The monthly costs are as follows:

There are currently (as of 12/01/05) 160 members on Husky-L. If we assume half or more of these members are lurking out of curiosity and not really getting a lot from the list, and assuming the remainder of the users contributed, it would come out to about $5-$10 per person. I'm not sure if these assumptions are really valid, but it may give you a ballpark idea of what to contribute: something in the $5-$10 range per year.
